Take a pedicab!

5.0 ★
Summertime weather can end up becoming pretty brutal here in Savannah and if you’re not acclimated to the humidity, wandering around can get a bit daunting. When you’re from the area, you tend to get used to it and our Pedicab drivers are an amazing way to travel from one side of Savannah’s Historic District to the other. Eco-friendly, locally fueled, a Pedicab is a small cart, attached to a bicycle, driven by a local host who knows all the quickest way to get you and a friend to and from local stores, restaurants and more.

Along with being the most tried and true method of transportation through downtown Savannah, we are now offering personal tours from the new pedicabs. From haunted to historic, and everything in between, we offer a personal experience that you’ll want to enjoy over and over. Request your tour by clicking the “contact us” tab at the top of this page. Our pedicab drivers can handle anything from a quick pickup to an entire tour, one that you are sure to remember long after leaving Savannah.

Forsyth Park Farmer’s Market

4.5 ★
Forsyth Park is a staple part of any vacation to Savannah. While the fountain alone is it’s own perfect Instagram post, there’s something special about Forsyth that even the locals love. When you take a walk past the Sentient Bean and head down the stretch of sidewalk that cuts the park in half, there is truly no way to know what you’ll run into. Whether it be the buskers making jewelry or music, or the seemingly random festivals that sort of just show up in moments, Forsyth is a melting pot of creative culture. But, even with the controlled chaos that is this section of downtown Savannah’s historic district, you can usually depend on one thing remaining in tact. Our local Farmer’s Market is almost something of legend in this area. Every Saturday morning, all of the brands that we favor from all of the restaurants that we love. Organic honey and vegetables, hand made wares, local art and who knows what else can be found with a simple stroll through Forsyth Park on Saturday mornings. You know that local coffee shop you’ve become obsessed with and can’t get enough of? Check the Farmer’s Market, they might have a booth up where you can purchase your own bag of grounds!

Savannah National Wildlife Refuge

4.6 ★
If bird watching or nature photography sounds like a set of activities that you might be interested in, the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge is a massive property that would take at least a full day’s visit to explore entirely. Events are hosted regularly throughout the year and there’s even a significant amount of Geocaching to be done in this area. On days that specific occasions aren’t the primary focus, you’ve got the option to engage in self-guided tours. Learn about Savannah’s local wildlife and scenery without the hassle of meeting with a group at a specific time. Many species of bird, butterfly and tons of other critters can be observed here, there’s a little bit of something for all visitors heading this way.

Pokemon Go! Downtown

Fans of this instantly classic game will rejoice when walking through the Historic District, and any other part of Savannah if we are being honest. Because Savannah is home to so many monuments, restaurants and artistic pieces, you don’t have to walk 10 feet from one Pokestop or Gym before you’re running right into another one. Community Days in the area are packed with Pokemon and the gyms are constantly being taken over. When you’re on a mission to get that last bit of XP to level up, you won’t have any trouble finding active places for Pokemon Go! missions.

Forsyth Fountain Photo Op

4.8 ★
While this option only takes a moment, it’s one of our favorite activities to see tourists engage in while visiting Savannah. Take a walk through Forsyth Park any time during the day, no matter what day of the week you’re there and head to the Fountain. Unable to be overlooked, the big, white Forsyth Fountain has been featured in movies like the original “The Longest Yard” and is the backdrop to a fair amount of media coverage. If you walk up to Forsyth Fountain and try to take a selfie, legend says that a local will walk by and ask if you need help. No one has to struggle to get the fountain backdrop when in Savannah. We as locals truly enjoy being able to help get the right shot.

Shells on Tybee

4.7 ★
For some reason, our neighboring beach Tybee Island seems to be one of the easiest spots to find a handful of perfect shells. Here in Savannah, we’ve all been found guilty of spending the afternoon walking down the shoreline to collect a group of seashells. Visit the pier, grab a drink, and then relax for a bit while wandering the beautiful shores of Tybee Island. This is even a cheap and easy way to entertain children. There’s so many flawless shells to pick up that it can be a game if you work it right. What makes these shells particularly interesting is that they all seem ready to be made into a necklace. While this idea might seem a bit corny at first glance, just take a chance on it. There’s nothing quite like a handful of pretty seashells that smell faintly of Tybee Island salt.
