If what you’re looking for is a closer, more intimate show while still enjoying the full concert experience, Savannah also has a selection of theaters constantly adding fresh acts. The infamous Lucas and Savannah Theater are not just locations to watch plays. Known for hosting “That’s 70’s Show” and other types of collaborative musical shows, spending a few hours in the theater is a nice change from the typical bar venue scene while still scratching that live concert itch.
Victory North
Reminiscent of long time favorites like The Masquerade in Atlanta, Victory North provides an intimate experience for fans of acts that are sure to hit you in the nostalgic bone. Featuring everything from acts like Reel Big Fish and Uncle Cracker to indie cover groups like Rumours (Fleetwood Mac cover group), there is always an interesting set scheduled. Located in Savannah’s new Starland District, Victory North is right downtown with plenty of street parking available.

The Savannah Civic Center
First and foremost, the Savannah Civic Center is home to the Johnny Mercer theater and the Martin Luther King Jr. arena. Featuring past acts like, The Temptations, Heart and many more, the Civic Center has been housing some of the world’s top acts for well over a decade. Forsyth Park
Of all the squares in the Historic District of Downtown Savannah, Forsyth is known to be the largest and most picturesque of the thirty in the area. Though the area is the wearer of many hats, throughout the year, a wide variety of events are hosted in the area. From the Savannah Jazz Festival to Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah, Forsyth can be found inhabited with any and every type of musical act.

Ships of the Sea Museum
While the Ships of the Sea Museum is not primarily a music venue, it is a location that hosts acts from the annual Savannah Stopover and Music Festival. Though this is a museum first and foremost, when this museum hosts a stop on a festival, they really go all out with production. Drinks, dance floor and great service to boot, The Ships of the Sea Museum can put on the venue hat and wear it well.
Regardless of your genre or venue preference, the city of Savannah is known for housing some of the most passionate shows around.
