Savannah Stage Company is offering schools in Georgia [and beyond!] the chance to receive everything they need to engage their students in a literary based theatre experience right to their computer screen.
This PAY WHAT YOU CAN experience includes a link to watch our performance of the literary classic Alice in Wonderland, a Q&A with the artists that brought this story to life, and an interactive study guide that promotes the GSE – Georgia Standards of Excellence. Savannah Stage Company believes theatre should be as accessible as possible, regardless of your schools financial situation.
Follow Alice as she finds herself in a new and strange place called “Wonderland”. Here she
meets a world of characters that have her examining, questioning, and most importantly –
pushing her to dream, grow, and take chances far and wide!
In response to COVID 19 our company gathered a group of artists to form our Quaranteam.
These artists signed a pledge to adhere to strict guidelines regarding social interactions, masks, testing, quaranting, and more. The show filmed in November on stage at the Historic Savannah Theatre, this original adaption was penned by Company Member Alexis Balaoing Ambrose based on the book by Lewis Carroll. Starring Ambrose in the title role, the cast is composed of Company Members Wesley Pridgen, Ashley Cook, and Ryan Henderson, and newcomers Rayshawn Roberts and DeAnna Laree Craig, under the direction of David McCall, with original music by McKenna Lyons.
Alice in Wonderland will also be available for FREE, streaming on Facebook LIVE January 30th 2021 at 7pm.
