Here at Savannah Sip N’ Cycle, we add blog posts to the site regularly to help you prepare for your trip here to the (what we believe to be) most beautiful city in southeast Georgia. Check back often for information on food, drinks and entertainment in the city, we are always covering something worth reading. Sweet treats, Vegan Food and Plant Riverside make up a small handful of topics we have to offer in the “Blog” tab.
Christmas shopping can sometimes be stressful. Around here, Savannah is home to a variety of niche stores from healthy foods to art supplies. Read on to learn more about the incredible shopping here in the city!

E. Shaver’s

Walking in to E. Shaver Bookseller feels like a trip into another reality, one where time stops. Book worms out there know the feeling. Not such a sore thumb, this shop is nestled right into Bull Street and is unforgettable once you walk inside. Salacia Salts
4.4 ★
Accomplishing a proper trip to Savannah is not complete without a visit to Tybee Island, the iconic beach where movies like Baywatch, Little Mermaid and Magic Mike XXL (among many other titles) filmed scenes. Savannah locals love nothing more than to spend a weekend visiting the coast nearby. Salacia Salts is the store that has figured out how to bottle the beachy vibe that we crave even when the island is too cold to visit. Featuring locally made skin care items, you can find moisturizers, salt baths and other fragrant products for your home or bathroom at Salacia Salts. Check either of their two locations to take home a scented memory of Savannah in a jar or bottle.

Simply Street Jewelry
5.0 ★
As if you needed another excuse to walk through Forsyth in December, Simply Street Jewelry is the stop you’ll want to make for a piece of jewelry that stands out. People will walk up to you and ask if that is one of Pearl’s pieces, her style of wire wrapped jewelry creation is that recognizable. Something that is interesting about shopping with Pearl is this, you can even choose a specific stone from her ground presentation, walk away for 10 minutes and come back to an original item made on the spot. When you make a donation to Simply Street Jewelry, right across from the interactive xylophone in Forsyth Park, you leave with an unforgettable experience.

Satchel
4.8 ★
Since 2006, Satchel has been Savannah’s prime spot for leather goods and creation. Mentioned in Southern Living and Fortune magazine, their reputation speaks volumes. When you want to find something locally sourced and long lasting, Satchel is the spot for you. Because they are also a studio, the employees at Satchel are happy to be of assistance in anything you might want to know about leather and leather working. Graveface Records
4.9 ★
Two locations that have been mentioned here on the blog a couple of times are Graveface, Records and Museum. Today, we are focusing on the record store. Music lovers from every end of the spectrum rejoice when they walk into Graveface. Depending on the day and album in question, you might be able to walk away with 6 Barry Manilow records for 2$ each. Take a moment to explore every inch of this shop, hidden gems sit in plain site if you know where to look! Affordable vinyl is hard to come by in recent years but Graveface Records remains one of the few shops left that won’t break your bank.

Starlandia
4.7 ★
Regular shop for SCAD students and local artists, Starlandia is known for the high quality of supplies they provide. Even the traded inventory is top notch. Whatever the project, Starlandia is the art store that is organized and full to the brim with supply. No project is too outlandish for Starlandia, keeping up with the needs of SCAD students is no easy task. Recycle your art supplies for store credit and set aside at least an hour to search, there’s too much in the store to get a good look in ten minutes.

Capital Bee Company
4.8 ★
Here is one of those situations where the name does NOT say it all. Capital Bee Company obviously has honey and that is wonderful but this is not just a store that keeps local honey on the shelves. While the honey by itself is reason enough to come visit (try out local honey before you argue the point) Capital Bee Company has an array of products that cover gifting needs for all family members in your life. Even your cranky mother in law will have a fun time trying out the sauces and teas available. Bags, candles, Savannah specific products chill alongside 15 flavors of Capitol Bee honey, just waiting to go home with your gift haul.

5.0 ★
Woman owned and enjoyed by all who enter, this shop has grown since opening in 2019, even being featured in VOGUE in that time. Find the high end brands you dream of and develop a relationship with ladies who know and love style at The Edition. Private stylists and home drop off options are available, they know how to take shopping seriously. Visit their location on Broughton St in downtown Savannah.

SHOPSCAD
4.5 ★
One of the reasons Savannah is such a giant melting pot has to be the Savannah College of Art and Design, or SCAD as we fondly refer to it. From all edges of the world, students attend this grand institute of higher learning and go on to be great in any field they choose. Walking around downtown Savannah, you won’t have to search to find a building owned by the college or a display set up by active students. SHOPSCAD is the place to be when you want to purchase works from alumni, current students and faculty. Nothing can beat a 100% unique piece from the Savannah College of Art and Design. People love this store so much that a second location was even opened in Paris back in 2014. Come see what all the hype is about when you SHOP SCAD for holiday gifts this year.

Savannah Bee Company
4.8 ★
Look closely as you shop throughout Savannah, you won’t have any trouble finding Savannah Bee Company products. Gift shops and local restaurants all over the place seem to keep these products lining their shelves. Lip care and whipped honey are only two options for gifts to be found within the Savannah Bee Company brand. Visit the Broughton St and River St locations here in town and see for yourself how many ways you can purchase local honey products at Savannah Bee Company.
