Get to know the quirky side of Savannah by visiting any of these establishments, there is always something unique happening in this town and you won’t want to skip these experiences.

Pose Next to Al Capone

4.6 ★
Starting up this list in particular is the Prohibition Museum in City Market, located right in the middle of Savannah’s favorite square. While you can learn all about what the dry times were like way back in the day, the coolest part about the Prohibition Museum has to be the hyper realistic wax statues. This is the perfect rainy day activity, taking up only about thirty minutes to enjoy the tour and maybe an extra twenty spent posing with the figures. Learn plenty about the times when alcohol was NOT allowed and the hidden speakeasies were the way to get your drink fix throughout the week. If you’re over 21, end your tour with a trip to the speakeasy next door to try out the drinks that were incredibly popular way back in the day. Heck, if you decide that these drinks are something you would like to make at home, they offer classes showing you every step that goes into the process. From 10 am – 5 pm every day, the Prohibition Museum is happy to show off an era that is mostly forgotten in the midst of the lax open cup laws we have here in Savannah. Find this fancy spot on Saint Julian St and come by sometime, but know that they won’t serve alcoholic beverages on Sundays.

Dueling Piano Bar

4.5 ★
“Savannah Smiles” is more than just a statement made about those who choose to call this city home. Actually, Savannah Smiles is a dueling piano bar located on Williamson St. Not too far from River Street but still tucked away, the Dueling Piano Bar features some of Savannah’s highest talent running a dueling show featuring all of your favorite songs. This establishment does not accept reservations, the party is only first come first served at Savannah Smiles so plan ahead and make sure you have plenty of time to avoid the line or wait in it. Begin your party outside, even those out front are already hyped and having fun. At Savannah Smiles Dueling Piano Bar, music brings strangers together. Who knows, you might leave with a new best friend after bonding over one of the covers performed. When you want to take full advantage of the dance floor, Savannah Smiles always has the crowd up and hyped.

Echo Square

4.7 ★
Did you know that Savannah was actually the very first colony established in all of Georgia? Since 1733, Savannah has been making a mark on this state and anyone who visits the area knows that this Historic District has more than museums and statues. Even the architectural designs throughout the city holds the promise of secret fun and we are going to let you in on a not so well hidden attraction located right on River St. Now, we are not sure how long “Echo Square” has been visited by guests. We do know that the locals love to show off the charming little stop to new visitors. While Echo square is not included in your average Savannah tour, the experience is worth stopping to check out. When walking towards the east end of River St, you might notice an “X” made out of black bricks inside of a circle. Occasionally, you might see a busker playing for tips while sitting in the middle. Approach the circle and stand right in the middle, facing the river. Hearing yourself echo back when you speak can feel like a haunted experience but despite the tall tales that locals might spin, experts have concluded that the placement of buildings in the city are what causes this phenomenon. Look for this spot right across from the Bob’s Your Uncle store and get someone to check out Echo Square with you.

Water Witch Tiki Bar

4.5 ★
Themed bars have been making a wicked comeback in the last ten years or so and Water Witch Tiki Bar is its own oasis hidden right in the plain sight of Bull St. Transport yourself to an island getaway without having to get covered in the icky sand. Water Witch Tiki Bar is located in the Starland District, serving up island influenced drinks with the aesthetic environment to match. Paying tribute to the seaside lore from times passed, Water witch Tiki Bar adds to Savannah’s unique and historically influenced environments. Check out their original drinks menu for cocktails like Skidaway Getaway or Thai Me Up. Even the non-alcoholic menu is fancy enough without needing to add liquor to the mix. Yes Queen Bar Crawl Tour Savannah Ga

Drag Tour

4.5 ★
Party like royalty when you book a Drag Queen led tour through the Historic District’s best bars with the Yes Queen tour group. Voted “Best Pub Crawl in Savannah” means that this city can’t get enough of being dragged around from bar to bar. Bachelorette parties, birthday shindigs and girl’s weekends for all ages (above 21) are made for this particular experience, but no party is discriminated against with the Yes Queen crew. These fabulously feisty queens go out of their way to make sure that everyone involved in the crawl feels included, creating a night that will go down in the books. Get hyped and dress to the nines, photos and selfies are an absolute must on this easily recognized tour. You might wonder why they are so easily recognized. Much like the “WOO” calls coming from our Party Bike (and heard all around the city) the Yes Queen Drag Tour seems to be the loudest and most rowdy on any given day. While your drinks are not included in the tour ticket price, every bar you stop at offers specials for Yes Queen tour participants.

Pounce Cat Cafe Logo Savannah Georgia

Pounce Cat Cafe

4.7 ★
Cat lovers are a special breed of people, the kind of folks who would much rather involve a friendly feline in any activity than to even consider an existence where kittens are not allowed to roam all venues with complete freedom. Pounce Cat Cafe on Broughton St brings that sort of fantasy to life with their full staff of kitties to keep you company while snacking or just hanging out. Reservations are not required but encouraged, this place tends to fill up quickly on any given day. One hour’s worth of a visit costs less than $20 per person and these cats are not just here to play and have a good time with you. Ask any employee about the adoption process if you fall in love with any of the “employees” pouncing around the place. All of these cats came from the Humane Society for Greater Savannah and are available to be taken home by the right owners. From 11 am – 6 pm every day, Pounce Cat Cafe is happy to seat your party but they do fill up quickly on the weekends so don’t hesitate to make that reservation before heading over to Broughton Street. There’s nothing quite like the company of cats, especially when they feel right at home and Pounce Cat Cafe is on a mission to give everyone a reason to feel happy from the residents to the guests.
