Whether you want to discover new adventures for your vacation in Savannah or are a local who needs another idea for Friday night, we have got something for you! Trust us, this is the blog that you will want to have in your bookmarks. Covering everything from local bands to happy hour deals, the Savannah Sip N Cycle Blog has a bit for anyone who wants to visit the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia. Today, we want to talk to you about art and what Savannah has to offer for those who don’t know they are artists yet.
Taking a walk-through downtown Savannah, you might notice the SCAD buildings, street corner buskers and paintings displayed throughout every coffee shop. Only small piece of an arts community that keeps getting bigger, you won’t have to look hard to find even entire districts (check out our past article about the Starland District) dedicated to the creative prowess. What we have prepared for you today is a way to become part of Savannah’s arts community. Keep reading for a list of workshops that will allow you to learn a new skill, taught by some of the city’s best instructors.
First up, for the grown folks, we love a good combo deal so read up about a handful of painting classes where you can enjoy adult beverages while learning a craft from local teachers. While we can’t store alcohol on the #PartyBike, we can absolutely store paintings so consider any of these classes as an option prior to your ride with us. Our hosts always get a kick out of checking out the finished painting so don’t hesitate to share!
Proud to be a prime date night destination, Tipsy Hues Paint & Sip is located on King George Blvd and can’t wait to shake up your normal plans. Come on in or order an “At Home” kit if you can’t get enough of the experience. Ask about their shadow boxes for a gift or knick knack to keep for yourself!
Adults only, this is the Sip & Paint that will remain active in your mind for years to come. Gather the girls for your night out or even the bachelorette party and learn how to paint the nude form. Sangria is provided at this Waters Avenue art studio event. Gather a group of friends, or put together a party of over 30 for a private event and choose a portrait to recreate. Bring in your own drinks and snacks, but popcorn, water and sangria will be provided and get ready to have a blast while honing skills with your best friends or friends you haven’t made yet! East Oglethorpe Ave is home to one of Savannah’s most popular classes, Painting with a Twist is a reputable company and they even offer “at home” kits if you’re wanting to throw your own twist into the mix. Book their services on site, at private events or even virtually by visiting their website. You might end up enjoying the virtual event more than an in person version, their instructors are just that good. We might be biased because we know a few, but that does not mean we are wrong in our love for the workshops.
Find out why painting doesn’t have to be accomplished with a brush, or even with the lights on at Spin It! Art Studios. You won’t miss the wine with the fantastic time you will have figuring out what kind of abstract painter lies within. Spin painting classes and glow in the dark in the evenings are available for many experience levels at this Bull Street venue. This is not the class for someone who would like a simple seashell painting, you may discover that you were an abstract artist all along.

All ages and group sizes are welcome to find the perfect class for their needs. You might recognize this location from past articles we’ve done like 21 Things to do in Savannah without Drinking.
