The Pinkie Masters

Happy to be one of Savannah’s oldest bars, The Original Pinkie Masters is known for not changing much since it’s opening all the way back in 1951. Head over to Drayton and Harris St and pick out some tunes on the juke box at the bar known as a frequent visiting spot for Jimmy Carter, Al Gore and countless celebrities over the years. Any day outside of Sunday, come in from 1pm-3am and take a load off at The Original Pinkie Masters Bar in downtown Savannah’s Historic District.
Jen’s & Friends

Frequent mention here on the Savannah Sip N Cycle Blog, and even a stop on the #PartyBike tour, Jen’s & Friends is the place where everyone is home from the moment they step inside. Housing 300 martini options, you are sure to plan more than one visit once you’ve tried cocktails like Rice Crispy Treat, Blackberry Cobbler and Scooby Snack. Starland Yard

Not easily missed in the Starland District in downtown Savannah, Starland Yard is comprised of storage units (yes, really) and fits right in with what we are used to seeing around the city. Known for the charm of any artists town, Savannah’s Historic District is full of creative charm and Starland Yard is no exception. Large enough to regularly house food trucks, Starland Yard has something new to offer to your Savannah visit every time you wander in.
Lone Wolf Lounge

Lone Wolf Lounge on Lincoln St is a watering hole known by regulars and tourists alike. Stop in for karaoke, even themed versions of the beloved activity can be found around Christmastime. From 11 am til 1 am every day outside of Sunday, come in and enjoy a wide array of cocktails off the menu.
Peacock Lounge

When the lounge comes with a dress code, you know the drinks have to be top shelf. Peacock Lounge on Whitaker St is one part of Savannah’s classic aesthetic. From the moment you walk inside, engulfed by neon lights and beautiful colors, you’re transported back to what feels like the 20s. Timeless and sophisticated, Peacock Lounge is where you go to impress.
Artillery

Open from Wednesday-Saturday every week, Artillery is a bar drowning in historic significance. Fitting right in with the antique shops, landmarks and all of the other Savannah based classic pieces lining the city. Built in 1896, this building has remained in tact over the years and we are happy it did. With call buttons located at each table, you will be thrilled with their service once you walk in.

Service Brewing Co.

What began as a brewing kit Valentine’s Day gift to owner Kevin Ryan, Service Brewing Co is a Veteran owned bar that has the cutest security team in all of Savannah. House cats Chinook and Black Hawk are waiting to greet you anytime you come in to try the locally brewed beer. Head over to Indian st but be sure to check the website for hours. Known as a cool spot to enjoy some live music or cornhole, come in and support the Veterans while having a blast at Service Brewing Co.
The Rail Pub

Since opening in 1890, The Rail Pub has been a known home to the misfits of Savannah, even having been a boarding house at one time. Find the party straight hanging out at The Rail Pub, or bring it in yourself. Free Chicken Fridays, strong drinks and live music are a small handful of what you can expect upon entrance to The Rail Pub on Congress.
Six Pence Pub

Around here, we are proud of the vast variety of heritages that make up everything we can’t get enough of in Savannah. Take a couple of steps away from Liberty St to Bull and keep an eye out for the big red telephone booth chilling outside of Six Pence Pub. British and American comfort food, awesome priced drinks and an atmosphere that is beyond cozy are waiting every day of the week for you at Six Pence Pub in the middle of downtown Savannah.
Barrelhouse South

As we’ve mentioned in prior articles here on the Savannah Sip N’ Cycle Blog, Barrelhouse South is one of your best choices in downtown Savannah for live music. Open jam on Wednesday nights, live bands on the weekends, cheap drinks… What more could you want in a venue? Located on Congress St, fitting right in with the hustle and bustle of City Market, Barrelhouse South opens at 11 am every day and remains open until 3 pm every day.
The Warehouse

Who knew that the “coldest beer” in all of Savannah can be found at The Warehouse on River Street? Easily recognizable by the Instagram-post-worthy sign out front, head to The Warehouse for live music, cold beer and easy access to a view of the Savannah River.
Water Witch Tiki

Get away from it all with a trip to Water Witch Tiki in Savannah’s Starland District. Generally speaking, you are bound to say “wow, I didn’t know that was here” when in the Starland area. Fitting in with an eccentric aesthetic that we all know well, Water Witch Tiki is its own slice of paradise right here in Savannah. Stop in for a story or two about mariner life and enjoy themed cocktails and tiki bowls at Water Witch Tiki on Bull St.
Social Club

If for some reason, you find yourself in a group of people who are on the search for a rousing game of shuffleboard, you’ll find your spot after 7 pm at Social Club in City Market. Shuffleboard is only one of many games to choose from in this bar and grill. for the live music outside and sit down for an appetizer while checking in on the Georgia Craft Beer list. Tourists, locals and city newbies flock to Social Club every weekend and have a grand time. You can even bring your dog and sit outside on the covered patio!
Wormhole

Local bar, music venue and generally dope place to be, the Wormhole is where you go when you want a live show. Open mic nights are legendary and regular visits from local legends make for an experience that music lovers of any genre are sure to dance along to. When you want to know where the locals hang out in Savannah, the Wormhole on Bull st is your best answer.
Abe’s on Lincoln

Mentioned in prior posts here by us as a date night location, Abe’s on Lincoln is one of those bars you don’t forget easily. Covered from wall to wall in Honest Abe napkin drawings, the only way to make the experience more fun is to add one of your own. Ask the bartender for a pen while you order reputably strong drinks and add your own piece to this local favorite. Head over to Lincoln st and look for Abe’s after 4 pm any day other than Sunday.
Molly MacPherson’s

Live music, wicked awesome food, open mic nights and epic drinks can be found at Molly MacPherson’s alongside the largest single malt collection on the east coast. Find local bands from all over the city playing at this venue and enjoy Scottish food that just can’t be beat. Like many wonderful venues in the city, you can find Molly’s on Congress st.
Totally Awesome Bar

Much like the name suggests, we can’t get enough of Totally Awesome bar because it is just that. A nostalgic ambiance featuring the 80s, Totally Awesome Bar is where you go on Wednesdays for Comedy Night. With new activities happening every week, you will want to follow them on Facebook for regular updates before finding the location on Whitaker st.

By now, you must have at least one idea in your mind about where you would like to spend an evening in Savannah. City Market, River Street, Congress St and pretty much every street in Downtown Savannah’s Historic District has some style of location intending to provide you with some hydration of all sorts.
