Fox & Fig
4.8 ★
Savannah’s only fully “plant-based” eatery, Fox & Fig is not easily missed on Harris St downtown. Just look for all of the happy people sitting outside (with heaters during the cold months) and laughing, Fox & Fig just seems to make anyone eating there smile. Locally sourced PERC brand coffee and Leopold’s coconut cream milkshakes add to this locally owned and operated menu of all completely Vegan options. Look for Fox & Fig just a few strides away from Troupe Square until 9pm every day to find Savannah’s favorite full Vegan menu. Even the carnivores can’t stop coming back to this location, despite it being the only truly plant based location in the city. When you’re in the mood to go green entirely, stop in to the Fox & Fig.

Sentient Bean
4.4 ★
No local can seem to go without a visit to the Sentient Bean at least twice a week for a fabulous cup of locally sourced coffee along with some Vegetarian/Vegan breakfast or lunch. From gluten free baked good options to bunch options that are healthy just as they are filling, the only way to one up the food is by trying out one of their smoothies. Truly encompassing Savannah’s “indie” side, The Bean has been a haunt for locals and a hangout for everyone since it’s opening many years ago. Not only does this restaurant feature food that feeds the masses, their local artist spotlight display is changing constantly, displaying the city’s greatest mixed media talents. With so many talented artists hanging out at The Bean, you don’t have to wait long for the display to be replaced by another. Visiting this restaurant over time is an experience in itself.
Though they do carry some non-Vegan options, they are fewer and far between with their menu. Along with making food that feels good to eat, The Bean goes to extra lengths in prep and cleanup to ensure the least amount of environmental waste possible. Find the Sentient Bean right beside Forsyth Park any day before dinner time and ask about their tofu breakfast burritos.

Brighter Day
4.7 ★
Right next door to The Sentient Bean is their sibling company, Brighter Day. Owned by the same fine folks that claim The Bean, Brighter Day is actually primarily a health food store first. Vitamins, natural soaps, plant based candy and any organic ingredients you might be able to think of are stocked full from the moment you enter the front door of Brighter Day. Healthy grocery options are the staple of this location, but if you walk through the shop to the right, you’ll find a juice bar, sandwich shop and ready made deli items, most of which are Vegan/Vegetarian, with few items that include meat or cheese. From the beet heavy detox juice to the Vegan “chicken salad” sandwich, there’s more than a month’s worth of options to pick from at Brighter Day. Now you know where to find all of your natural skin care products and Vegan sandwiches in one spot! Feel free to ask their knowledgeable staff about products while you wait on a fresh juice or just grab and go if you’re in a rush. Brighter Day is prepared for the day you’re having!

Green Truck Pub
4.7 ★
Not a Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant, but also more than just a “side dishes plate” option, Green Truck Pub is the spot to host any group of people at one time when considering the vast variety of dietary needs throughout a party of family and friends. While Green Truck might initially appear to be your standard burger joint, it has the option to turn every burger on the menu into a veggie burger with a gluten free bun, no extra cost of eye rolls from the server either. At this notorious little spot on Habersham, guests are encouraged to alter orders to fit their needs. Don’t miss out on the Vegan “Chili-Non-Carne” or house made ketchup. Green Truck Pub is one of our all time favorites here at Savannah Sip N’ Cycle, let us know if you like it there as much as we do!

4.5 ★
Two locations, one in Midtown and one on Broughton St, Kayak Cafe has been part of Savannah’s cuisine scene for 15 years now! Featuring a varied menu of inclusive Vegan/Non Vegan/Vegetarian choices alongside the others, Kayak Cafe’s locations both feature a “V” key on the menu, making your search a bit easier. Along with menu options made ready for Vegan/Vegetarian tastes in general, most of the options with this spot are easily substituted for tofu if asked. Zunzi’s
4.7 ★
Open daily until 9pm, Zunzi’s is the type of restaurant that you plan an entire visit to Savannah around. South African inspired cuisine is the specialty at the Savannah location on York St in the historic district. When you’re wanting to try something that’s a little different, just check out Zunzi’s for Vegan/Vegetarian options, even though their specialty is not plant based. While not a plant based location entirely, this restaurant is known for having the Vegan meatballs that are genuinely out of this world. Ask about their Vegan and gluten free options once you’re seated, there’s a bit more to this menu than initially meets the eye.

Bull Street Taco
4.6 ★
Well would you look at that? As it turns out, you can find Bull Street Taco on Bull St downtown. Crazy how that happens sometime, right? Just as easily found as the restaurant itself, Bull St Taco features a large amount of Vegan/Vegetarian options that are marked with a key. High quality food meets an atmosphere that is as fun as the menu is varied. You won’t go wrong choosing from the Vegan/Vegetarian options at this location on any night from Wednesday-Saturday. They even remain open until 1:30am so stop by late if you’d like!

Peking House
4.1 ★
Tucked away into the side of Abercorn, almost missed if you’re not paying enough attention is Peking house, one of many awesome Chinese style fast food establishments that are dotted throughout Savannah. While their menu options are relatively standard to what we have become accustomed to in Chinese food pickings, there’s an entire selection of tofu based plates that we know and love. If you’re interested in an old favorite like General Tso’s, you can ask that they make the dish with tofu instead of chicken or beef. Even if you’re not interested in altering your meal, you can still find plenty of Vegan choices in the realm of vegetable egg foo young or lo mein. Open from lunchtime through til 10:30 every night, Peking House is always a dependable option as much as it is affordable.

CO
4.2 ★
Near Johnson Square on Whitaker St, don’t hesitate to ask your server at CO about all of the Vegan options readily available. If you’re in the mood for sushi and don’t want to be stuck with the only option, overpriced cucumber roll, you’ll find a spot at CO downtown. With a Southeastern Asian inspired menu that has more than plenty of Vegan options, CO is the saving grace for any Vegan/Vegetarian craving a lot of flavor. You can enjoy a meal at this restaurant until 9:30pm every night of the week.
